- Your baby still has the Moro reflex, but it pops out of the stump or does not like to be covered.
- Do you suspect that your baby or toddler is experiencing sensory processing problems?
Of course, as with many tools in the parent toolbox, sometimes you just have to experiment to find what works for your baby! Many products can improve sleep, but some sleep problems can not be solved with pajamas, of course. So, if your baby sleeps better it depends on the reasons your baby wakes up first.
Weighted sleeping bags are considered safe as long as the weight does not exceed 10% of your baby’s body weight. So, if your baby is 10 kg, the sleeping bag should not exceed one pound. And, if your baby is 20 kg, then your sleeping bag should not exceed two kg. As a reminder, you should always choose products that meet or exceed US Consumer Product Safety Standards and have been tested for a number of harmful substances. This mimics your hand on your baby’s breast which is soothing to some babies out there, though not all. It’s a good alternative if your baby seems to like it a lot. These two products are different approaches to help your baby sleep better, so your baby’s preference will be a big indicator of how well each one works (or not).

In conclusion, a weighted sleeping bag can be a good choice for babies who are smoother and may need more comfort.
